Crossframe captures a single pass through the camera and writes out two files: one in 9:16 and one in 16:9. Neither is a crop of the other, so both cuts are properly composed and ready to publish.
Both files save to your camera roll when the recording finishes. They appear as two separate videos, named so you can tell the vertical and horizontal cuts apart.
Yes. The live preview shows both frames while you shoot, and you can shift each one so your subject stays centered in the vertical cut and the horizontal cut at the same time.
Recording two streams is demanding. Close other apps, lower the resolution in Settings, and keep the phone out of direct sun. If it keeps happening, email us with your device model and we'll look into it.
Crossframe requires iOS 16 or later. Older devices can record, but higher resolutions and longer takes work best on recent hardware.
